김성희 작가님은 한국과 베트남 수교 16주년을 맞아 베트남 하노이에서 개최되는
양국 미술교류전 초대작가로 내일 출국, 금주 토요일(11/22) 귀국 예정입니다.

전시일정 : Nov. 20 (THU) - 26 (WED), 2008

참여작가 : 22人의 한국 및 베트남 대표작가
(한국) 김성희, 하종현, 김수정, 김성호, 노재순 등 11人

전시주관 : 주 베트남 한국 문화원, 한국미협, 베트남 미술관

베트남 현지에선 본 전시가 장관 등 고위급 인사들이 대거 참석한
대대적인 행사로, 전시내내 큰 관심을 끌었다고 합니다.

"Vietnamese and Korean artists join in exhibition"

Twenty two artists of Vietnam and the Republic of Korea are joining
an art exhibition entitled 'Good Morning Korea, Good Morning Vietnam'
which opened inHanoi yesterday afternoon.
Twenty one displaying art works of 11 Vietnamese artists feature the
variety of medium of Vietnam fine arts such as paintings in acrylic by
Tran Luu Hau, mixed medium by Nguyen Trung, lacquer by Nguyen Thanh
Chuong and Trinh Tuan, oil on canvas by Dang Xuan Hoa, gouache
on papyrus paper by Dinh Thi Tham Poong, monoprint by Le Huy Tiep
and particularly installation art with wood and bamboo by Dang Thi Khue.
All Korean artists joining the exhibition come from the RoK Association
of Fine Arts. They brought 22 art works in oil, acrylic and mix media.
Addressing the exhibition, RoK Ambassador to Vietnam Lim Hong Jae said
“ The exhibition not only helps people know more about the beauty of
each country through art works but also provide one more opportunity
for artists of the two country to learn from each other.”
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Tien Tho said
such an exchange exhibition as this is considered a forum of cultural
exchange for artists of the two countries and a cultural bridge for
Vietnamese and Korean people to come closer in the integration
and development.
Ha Chong Hyun, the oldest among Korean artists in the exhibition
expressed “I feel very happy to join the exhibition. I like Vietnamese
paintings which are very unique. But above of all through the exhibition,
we can hear from other colleagues and can learn from each other.”
This is the second Vietnam-RoK exhibition “Good Morning Korea,
Good Morning Vietnam” following-up to the previous one held in Seoul,
RoK last year.
The exhibition, jointly organised by the Korean Culture Centre in Vietnam,
the Korean Art Association and the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, runs until
November 26 at the Vietnam Art Museum, 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc street, Hanoi.
